  • -I provide strategic leadership and oversight on Gender-Based Violence, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights advocacy, policy and programmes advocacy products development and evidence generation and cross-country learning platforms and dissemination. I specifically also provide technical oversight to programmes and interventions to end harmful practices and gender-based violence in the African and support to resource mobilization to ensure effective implementation of programmes within the centre of excellence.
  • -Led the development of the successful FP2030 Eastern and Sotuhtern Hub hosting for Amref.
  • -I supported high level advocacy and policy for SRHR, harmful practices and GBV within the African region i.e East African Community End FGM bill and SRHR bills, implementation of the EAC Regional action plan to end FGM, African Union Commission, ECOWAS, African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights among others
  • -I support the development of the concept and implementation of the Africa Health CSOs coalition to ensure attainment of Universal Health Care for all through support to countries and CSOs commitments and accountability for the provision of health services, health promotion and information sharing, policy setting, health care crisis response, recourse mobilization and monitoring of quality of care and responsiveness.

  • Strategic advisory on maters maternal, neonatal and child health, women and girls reproductive health and adolescent well being agenda. Support in reviewing and developing materials and talking points for providing guidance to the PMNCH Executive Committee and Board on strategic opportunities and gaps at global, national and country levels to advance political commitment and action. This guidance is in line with the# PMNCH 2021-2025 Strategy, which identifies advocacy as the main function for PMNCH, as well as the positioning of PMNCH in relation to emerging global priorities and needs.

  • -Mobilize communities for community engagement in the fight against FGM
  • -Developed several policy documents together with the ministry of health, ministry of social services, youth, sport and gender such as the national plan of action for the eradication of FGM, and child marriages. Recently we have developed the Ministry of Health policy statement against FGM.
  • -Develop research strategy for the centre in the areas of FGM, SRHR and child marriage. Set up the centres resource centre, developed a database of researchers and institutions working in the area of FGM globally.
